For English speakers: a voyage of exploration through Borges´ worlds.

A Journey to Borges Worlds

This introductory course is geared towards English speakers that want to learn more about Borges and his writings. It does not assume any previous knowledge and the only requirements are intellectual curiosity and an open mind. The goal of this course is to turn Borges´ labrynths into an excuse for learning more: about religion and philosophy, about linguistics and history , and about the life and times of Borges himself. . Humor was one of Borges characteristic traits and irony one of the underpinnings of his outlook on life. The goal is thus to become acquainted with his works and gain a deep appreciation of his writing following an approach that is at once erudite, enjoyable and lively.
